The Wooltarts are a group of wool loving crafties who came together in July 2014. They met whilst attending the meetings held for the 2014 Artentwine YarnBombing of Beaconsfield.
They were encouraged to come along by Kitty Taylor, and on the first day were given a Powerpoint Demonstration and Talk by “Team Textiles“, who inspired the Wooltarts to get Creative in the interests of decorating the Beaconsfield Streets in October.
… along the way they became good friends, shared much laughter and delighted in the wonderful creations that each had made. Ideas bounced around, and knitted scarves, words, ropes and sculptures were planned.
The Wooltarts met most weeks on Monday mornings in the Meeting Room at the Beaconsfield Mine Heritage Centre. Kitty attended regularly, and Team Textiles returned once more in early September to catch up and see how we were doing.
Sunday October 5th 2014 – 10am – the quiet streets of Beaconsfield were Sunny and peaceful. The Wooltarts, including Kitty Taylor. were accompanied by Team Textiles duo Ashley and Mae as they descended upon the unsuspecting benches, poles and park apparatus of Beacy.
